All are invited to march in the West Marin Standing Together contingent of Western Weekend parade this Sunday June 4, 2017. Tim Weed will lead this song, "Community Unity."
SINGERS WHO WISH TO PARTICIPATE, PLEASE JOIN US BY 11:15 AM ON SUNDAY. We will form our group near Walnut Place -- a couple of blocks north of downtown Point Reyes Station along A Street (to the north of the service station). Sometimes the whole parade line-up goes around a corner, but West Marin Standing Together will be obvious because there will be a big banner that reads, in part, "Una Communidad." Other signs and some clown costumery will also be evident. PLEASE PARK OUTSIDE OF DOWNTOWN POINT REYES STATION and walk to the meeting place. Well before the parade starts, Main Street is closed to traffic, cars are diverted along Mesa and B Streets (where nobody can park). The parade itself runs from noon until 1:00 PM. Each contingent pauses several times along the three blocks of Main Street ... to perform. That's when we'll sing -- including for the parade luminaries in front of Toby's. Questions?
